Born in Quebec City, Romy Bouchard is a graduate of the Lionel-Groulx College Professional Theatre School, class of 2019.
Moved by a strong interest in movement and dance, she made two trips to southern India to take training in traditional theater. In 2022, she completed a certificate in creative writing at UQAM. In 2021, she appeared in L'homme qui aimait trop on Noovo, her first television experience.
When she left school, she shot La balade de robin des bois, a show for young audiences, in South Shore parks with Théâtre Tout Terrain. She took part in Vous êtes ici at Théâtre des Écuries with the project Jardin d'enfants, a documentary play on the place of men in early childhood. She had the chance to work with choreographer Anne Thériault, with whom they put together a performance presented at the Actoral Marseille festival, as well as at Actoral Montréal and finally on stage at the ZH festival. She has also participated in a number of short films and has been involved in improvisation for several years.
