It all began in Montreal. More precisely at the age of 5 when music appeared in his life. A few years later, Martin found his love for theatre and the stage. Afterwards, he was admitted with a scholarship to the Upper Canada College in Toronto. And that's where it all came together, where the path became clearer as he received the Robertson Davies Drama Award for his performance as the lead role in Peter Shaffer's Amadeus.
Following his experience in Toronto, Martin returned to his native Montreal and began to pursue a career as an actor. For several years, he shifted between theatre, television, TV movies, advertising, both in French and in English! Listing every project would be exhausting because there are so many ... and well, that’s what resumes are for.
Looking through his resume, I suggest you have fun, turn on your television, go to the movies or have a Netflix and Chill night and you'll hear Colin Farrell, Jude Law, Jake Gyllenhaal, James Franco, Ryan Philippe, Josh Hartnett, Ben Foster and so many others as you've never heard them. Go ahead and indulge your ears when you watch Star Wars, Episode II: Attack of Clones, Studio 54, Black Hawk Down, Capote, Brokeback Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Simpsons, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, The Lion King, What’s with Andy?, Titan AE, The Incredibles, Monster vs. Alien, Open Season and Happy Feet in French. You will hear the one who has devoted himself to the art of vocal illusion during most of his career.
Lending his voice to foreign actors, but also to fantastic and comics characters, he gives free rein to his overflowing imagination.
Once you’ll have delighted yourself with the sound of his voice, read this biography again, but imagine that it is Martin who reads it to you. You will not hear it in the same way!
