For more than 30 years, Marie-Chantal Perron has made her way through the Québec cultural landscape, becoming a known figure for her many talents. On television alone, she has been part of more than 30 productions. Memorably, we can picture her performances in Les bracelets rouges, Toute la vie, Cérébrum and Unité 9, just to name a few. On stage, playing with as much ease in comedic plays than dramatic ones, she has worked with brilliant directors like Michel Poirier, Martine Beaulne, Serge Denoncourt, Denise Filiatrault, René-Richard-Cyr and the legendary Robert Gravel, amongst others.
During autumn of 2016, she opened the Théâtre du Rideau Vert season in the play La liste de mes envies, under the direction of Marie-Thérèse Fortin, and then on tour throughout all of Quebec. This project will be followed by Tanguy (2018) and the 100 representations of Les voisins by the Monarque productions (2019).
On the big screen, it is without a doubt her role in La Mystérieuse Mlle C that collectively marked the public, carving out a special place in everyone’s hearts!
She also has to her credit the writing of a graphic novel, Copine et copine which she co-wrote with Tammy Verge and Kim Nunès, published by Éditions de l'homme and nominated for the Governor General's Awards. Her first novel, Les douze mois de Marie, was published by Éditions Mains Libres and has sold nearly 5,000 copies. A great success in the Quebec literary world.
