Scriptwriter, director, researcher, curator, inclusion trainer and Montreal author, Audrey Béland thinks of herself firstly as a living room activist with insatiable curiosity. Her signature is undeniably politically engaged and revolves around the exaltation of the anecdotal, the agency of women's speech and pop culture.
Incapable of making choices, like a true libra, she completes multiple trainings at the Sorbonne-Nouvelle in Paris, at UQAM and at INIS, precisely in communications, literature and film, television and documentary scriptwriting. She will make this propensity for indecision her trademark and will constantly cultivate this versatility as her absolute weapon.
Presently, she is working as a scenarist for television, and is developing multiple fiction projects, as well as two web series. Audrey is working on her very first project for the English-speaking market with the pilot for a comedy-drama as part of the Warner Bros. Screenwriters Program. Discovery. She is also embarking on writing her first play in a playwriting residency at the Théâtre de La Licorne for the next year.
