A 2022 graduate from the Theatre School of Saint-Hyacinthe, Pénélope is a multidisciplinary artist, mainly working on stage as an actor, but also as a photographer and making artist in the studio. Since her graduation, she has been able to feed her creative nature while working as a creation assistant on NICE TRY, by diving into the world of audio books by collaborating with the author Frédérique Marseille for audio-visual clips from her novel, as well as going on stage through multiple projects, notably embodying the character Stella in Luce Pelletier’s Sucré Seize, a play produced in 2022 by the Théâtre de l’Opsis. In March 2024, we were able to see her on the big screen for the first time, while she plays the same character in the film adaptation of the play Sucré Seize, symphony for teenage girls, directed by Alexa-Jeanne Dubé.
She climbs on stage before even finishing theatre school, substituting on the tour of the play L’Arche de Noémie directed by Jean-François Guilbault and produced by the theatre l’Arrière Scène, and thus comes into contact for the first time with the world of theatre for young audiences. She discovers an unexpected love for it, and and dives back into it in the summer of 2022 as part of a laboratory with the Center of Dramatic Authors of Quebec around the text Les Grandes Personnes by Marie-Hélène Larose-Truchon, read by Marie-Ève Huot. She continues her work with the director through performing, since the fall of 2023, in the play Une petite fête, a production of the theatre company Le Carrousel, thanks to which she was able to go on tour across Quebec, as well as in France. This fall, we will see her in the play Julie, by Sarianne Cormier, presented at the Grande Licorne.
