Marilyn is an actor who stands out through moving performances, just as much in theatre, as in film or television. Ever since her graduation from the National Theatre School of Canada in 2010, Marilyn Castonguay has built a beautiful career. We saw her in Testament (Éric Jean), Le Joker (Éric Jean), Le déclin de l’empire américain (Patrice Dubois), and in Glen Garry Glen Ross (Brigitte Poupart). In 2020, at the Theatre La Licorne, she holds the stage by herself in Les filles et les garçons, a play by Dennis Kelly translated by Fanny Britt, for which she earned the Female Interpretation Prize from the Quebec Association of Theatre Critics.
On television, Marilyn plays in several productions (Au secours de Béatrice, 19-2, Vertige, Plan B, Fatale station, L’échappée, Le Pacte, Bon Matin Chuck). She plays the role of Huguette in the series C’est comme ça que je t’aime, which has received praise from the public since 2020. Marilyn was also part of the youth shows, 1, 2, 3... Géant!, Salmigondis and Alix et les merveilleux, a series for which she won two Gémeaux prizes for Best Supporting Female Role, in 2020 and 2021.
Marilyn takes on the big screen in L'affaire Dumont (Podz), Louis Cyr (Daniel Roby), l’Ange-Gardien and in Miraculum (Podz). We see her in Ça sent la coupe (Patrice Sauvé) next to Louis-José Houde, in Mon boy, a short film by Sarah Pellerin, and in another short, Foyer, directed by Sophie B. Jacques. She was also part of Mathias et Maxime (Xavier Dolan), and gives a remarkable performance in Jusqu’au déclin, the first québécois feature film produced by Netflix. In 2023, we saw her in the film Frontières, sharing the screen with Pascale Bussières, Christine Beaulieu and Micheline Lanctôt. Marilyn is also part of the new Crave series Bellefleur.
