A graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, Eveline Gélinas is a multidisciplinary artist who excels in the fields of theatre, television, cinema, singing and dubbing.
Before even leaving the National School in 2002, she landed the role of Geneviève Emery in Les Parapluies de Cherbourg, directed by René-Richard Cyr. What follows is as eloquent : Les Fourberies de Scapin, mise en scène d'Yvon Bilodeau, Le Peintre des Madones, staged by Serge Denoncourt, Éric Jean’s Une Ardente Patience, Don Juan by Lorraine Pintal, Pour Faire Une Histoire Courte directed by Frédéric Blanchette, L’homme de la Mancha by René-Richard Cyr.
In addition, she was part of L’Opéra de Quat’Sous by Robert Bellefeuille, of Chant de Sainte Carmen de la Main by René Richard Cyr as well as of Dissidents by Patrice Dubois, with whom she had the pleasure of working with again in 2017 for Le Déclin de l’Empire Américain. Finally, she was of La fête sauvage, under the direction of Véronique Côté, without forgetting Des Arbres, by Benoit Vermulen and of the great classic Les Belles Sœurs, staged by René Richard Cyr. Her most recent appearances on stage were in the casts of Les Sorcières de Salem, directed by Édith Patenaude and of La mélodie du bonheur by Grégory Charles.
On the big screen, Eveline was nominated as best performer in a supporting role at the Génie Prize for her role in Ce qu’il faut pour vivre by Benoît Pilon. She was also of the casts of La neuvaine and Contre toute espérance, both by Bernard Émond and of Émile Gaudreault’s Le sens du l’humour, where she plays the role of the endearing Julie. In 2022, Eveline interpreted Pauline in Luc Picard’s most recent feature film, Confessions.
Also a familiar face on television, we can see her in many series such as Jamais deux sans toi, Les Héritiers Duval, L’Ombre de l’Épervier, Ent’Cadieux, François en série, Apparences, Ruptures and, for multiple years, L’Auberge du chien noir. Moreover, it is her role of Charlène in this last production that earned her a nomination at the 2014 Gémeaux Gala for “Best supporting role: soap opera”. She is also part of Victor Lessard II, La faille and District 31. Since 2022, she embodies the role of Cindy Castonguay in the series Alertes.
