Erika Soucy was born in 1987 in Portneuf-sur-mer, on the Côte-Nord. In 2007, she founded the Trois-Rivières Poetry Off-Festival, of which she is still the co-artistic director. Also a playwright, Erika wrote Cochonner le plancher quand la terre est rouge(Trois-Pistoles, 2010), L'Épiphanie dans le front (Trois-Pistoles, 2012) and Priscilla enhologramme (L'Hexagone, 2017). In 2015, she made the Top 10 young writers to watch, a list by Marie-Louise Arsenault, the host of Plus on des fous, plus on lit, a radio show to which Erika collaborates regularly.
In 2018, she also collaborated to the following collective projects :Un Québec pays, le Oui des femmes (Remue-Ménage), Treize à table (Druide), Monstres et fantômes(Québec-Amérique).
Her first novel, Les murailles (VLB publisher, 2016), won the Creative Writing Award at the Québec Library and the Salon International du Livre de Québec. It was also adapted for Periscope Theater in April 2019. Erika Soucy is currently collaborating as a writer on the series Léo (Illico Club) under the guidance of Fabien Cloutier, as well as several TV series and feature films projects.
