Born in 1987 in Portneuf-sur-mer, Erika Soucy founded in 2007 the Off-Festival of poetry. For which she is still co-artistic director in Trois-Rivières. She is the author of Cochonner le plancher quand la terre est rouge (Trois-Pistoles, 2010), L’Épiphanie dans le front (Trois-Pistoles, 2012) and Priscilla en hologramme (L'Hexagone, 2017). In 2015, she finds herself on the 10 young authors to watch out for list by Marie-Louise Aresenault, host of the radio-show Plus on est de fous, plus on lit, for which Erika will come to collaborate with on multiple occasions.
In 2018, she participates to the collective books Un Québec pays, Le Oui des femmes (Remue-Ménage), Treize à table (Druide) and Monstres et fantômes (Québec-Amérique).
Erika’s first novel, Les murailles (VLB éditor, 2016), won the Literary creation Prize of the Library and the Quebec International Book Fair and is adapted into a play on the Théâtre Périscope’s stage in april of 2019. She is the author of Scénarios pour sortie de crise, performed at the Théâtre De La Bordée in 2021.
The next year, she released her second novel Le cœur sacré de Jeanne Mance at the Éditions du Quartz. Erika collaborates on the writing of the television series Léo (Club Illico), under the Fabien Cloutier’s leadership. Series who, in 2023, was a finalist for the Gémeaux Prize in the «Best text: Comedy or Dramatic Comedy» category. She came up with the original idea and scripted the series Les Perles, directed by Hervé Baillargeon in 2022.
